Every blog deserves a first post, and this blog loves tropes.

Sweet was created to make things a lot less shitty for comic folk. But what does that actually mean?

• Port a bunch of software from other industries that can help comics grow their fanbase
• See if there's anything new we can make that's helpful or replaces a dated tool
• Try to minimize cost to those people as well as have free tiers when possible to help those who are just starting out
• Help where I can in policies that matter to the community, things like protecting work from AI, communication between retailer and aritst, etc.
• For my own ambitions, live a comfortable life and pay my mortgage.

When I co-founded Omnibus, and moved from tech to comics, the biggest surprise wasn't that it was a great community, the biggest surprise was just how great a community it was. Comics as a medium have always embraced many types, but to see it reflected in how approachable everyone is, was a joy..

So, Sweet was born. Thanks for coming along for the ride. It's going to be a fun one.
