Pricing Bindings

Pay as you go

It has been a fun road building Bindings. The feedback from creators has been phenomenal.

Our intention is to launch Bindings next week for the public, and we've thought a lot about pricing. For the longest time, our lizard software brains were focused on subscriptions. It's almost the default model to starting a business.

Yet, comics are not a constant monthly thing for most creators. They don't have monthly comic needs. They are trying to sell books every few months, every other week, etc. Sometimes there are entire breaks between issues that span months.

Our goal is also to be accessible to everyone in comics, a subscription for everyone would be prohibitive to those just starting up and don't have regular income from their work.

So we settled on a basic pricing model. You give us $5, we give you 100 pages/slices of your work to share with the world. We'll keep it up as long as we're around. You'll get all our comic sharing and marketing features.

So when you upload a pdf that's 22 pages that's 22 images off of your balance. If we slice up your webtoon into 12 images when you upload it that's 12 images on your balance.

If our prices rise, you've already paid your $5, you only need to top off if you've run out of room at any future pay-as-you-go prices.

We'll be adding pro features with a subscription later (things like custom branding, etc.) but this feels right for us to give everyone an opportunity to grow their audience and give Bindings a try.
